Prof. Ijeoma Favour Vincent-Akpu
A Professor of Ecotoxicology and Hydrobiology with over two decades of active research, teaching and promoting environmental awareness in the university and communities in Niger Delta.
She is a recipient of numerous fellowships for her research on the fate and effects of contaminants in Niger Delta and possible ways of ameliorating their impacts on the people and biota in the region; which have been published and presented in numerous fora.
She has supervised research work in Nigeria and foreign universities. She is the President of the Association for Environmental Impact Assessment of Nigeria (AEIAN) and leads several professional groups.
